James journey…
James entered the Give a Smile program for the treatment of his significant crowding problem. His ‘vampire teeth’ certainly detracted from his appearance and the crowding of his teeth made it more difficult for him to clean his teeth properly. He also found it difficult to close his lips over his teeth and the family were keen to have all his problems corrected.
Dr Justin Fong at North Shore Orthodontics discussed the various treatment options with the family, and it was decided to commence James’ orthodontic treatment with the removal of some premolar teeth to make the space needed to straighten his teeth. Soon afterwards, full upper and lower braces were fitted, and the alignment of his teeth proceeded.
The overall treatment was completed as planned over approximately a 24-month period. As well as the teeth being aligned, the bite of James’ teeth was also improved. James’ treatment was a great success and the family were extremely happy with the result. All the staff at North Shore Orthodontics were delighted to be able to give someone like James the opportunity to benefit from orthodontic treatment.
