Celebrities live a different life to most. But when it comes to our teeth, we’ve got the same concerns! You may be surprised to know that many of our favourite stars have opted for braces treatment, as adults – showing that you’re never too old to look after your smile.

He’s showbiz royalty but it might surprise you to know that Tom Cruise’s smile hasn’t always been so iconic. The Top Gun star had braces well into his career, at about age 40. He famously walked the red carpet for the premiere of his 2002 movie Minority Report with ceramic braces.
It’s a smile fit for a princess – but the Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton’s pearly whites have had some help. In the lead-up to her showstopping 2011 royal wedding, it’s reported the Duchess (then aged 29) underwent orthodontic treatment to straighten her teeth – likely in the form of lingual braces,
(which are fixed to the inner side of each tooth.
Actor Zac Efron is another celebrity who rocked orthodontic treatment as an adult. The High School Music star’s boyish grin and gap tooth was transformed into a perfect smile after he opted for clear aligner treatment – famed for their barely there look.
Beloved Hollywood star Katherine Hiegl has also been open about her experience with clear aligner treatment, which she underwent in the lead-up to her wedding in 2008. And last but certainly not least – internationally renowned soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo also had ceramic braces to correct misaligned teeth. He was also missing one of his front teeth, and had treatment to make way for an implant.
